2013-2014 Collegiate Preview: George Mason University

Sarmat Chowdhury leads the Patriots this season as they seek to crack into Best Delegate’s top 50 MUN teams.  GMU will be attending BarMUN and NCSC in the fall, and VICS and &MUN in the spring.  Sarmat, a veteran of Model UN, is a crisis delegate, and looks forward to helping his team improve this season while embodying diplomacy at its best.

What are your goals this year for your team?

Sarmat: This year we are focusing on smaller delegation sizes with delegates that are prepared to represent the ideals of GMU MUN diplomacy both inside and outside of the committee. With regional high school development that we started last year, we are proud of the travel delegations that we have prepared for the circuit.

What are you most looking forward to this season?

Sarmat: Returning to the world of Model United Nations. While there have been simulations over the summer, and with veterans having come back from studying abroad and competing in European MUNs, it will be good to have the Mason delegation back on the circuit competing and having fun.
