2013-2014 Collegiate Circuit Preview: The George Washington University

Junior Jared Greenspan was elected Model UN Coordinator and Head Delegate at GW last spring, and has been working tirelessly since then to make this year stellar for his team.  Continuing in the tradition of teaching outstanding freshmen delegates through the Colonial Cadets training program, Jared looks to improve upon GW’s 6th place finish last year in our overall rankings.

What are your goals for this year for your team?

Jared: We’re going to 10 conferences this year (more than ever before) and have just selected our third batch of Colonial Cadets. We feel our team has a bright future ahead of us and can’t wait for many of our top team members to return from study abroad so we become deeper than ever before.

What are you most looking forward to this season?

Jared: In terms of team goals, it would be fantastic of GW can break the Top 5 in terms of Best Delegate Rankings. In addition, there were several conferences where we missed delegation awards by very small margins. This year, we plan to capitalize on those opportunities and walk away victorious.  I’m really looking forward to the various types of committees in travel MUN this year. I feel as though conferences such as SCSY, McMUN and UCBMUN have more dynamic crises than ever before and with the great execution of conferences like UPMUNC and HNMUN, this looks like it’s going to be a really fun year for everyone.

Each day leading up to CMUNNY, Yale’s SCSY and Boston University’s BarMUN, we’ll be featuring a few teams. If you would like to see your team featured, and Best Delegate hasn’t contacted you, please reach out to Mari Manoogian at marimanoogian@bestdelegate.com
