From February 27th to March 1st,  the United Nations Association of Colombia along with a talented academic team made up by high school and university students, hosted in University of La Sabana COLMUN 2015. Over 200 participants from high school and university delegations congregated to debate on topics such as the use of private and public forces during protests and the use of gender quotas.

The conference prioritizes the inclusion of low income students, who can’t afford the tuition cost to participate in Model UN conferences. This, as well as a highly educational experience with small committees and highly prepared chairs.

COLMUN 2015 offered 10 different committees to delegations from Colombia, Venezuela and Argentina.

In addition, in order to cover all the events on the conference, COLMUN 2015 introduced for the first time independent press corps, in which students would work as journalist representing various news agencies.

Awards:

Best Delegation: Delegation of the United States of America (Universidad de los Andes)

Outstanding Delegation: Delegation of Colombia (Universidad Central de Venezuela)
