As the sun went down, IndonesiaMUN has once again held one of the most prestigious social event: The Diplomatic Dinner. Taking place at Rectorate Garden, Universitas Indonesia, IndonesiaMUN’s Social Event team has successfully brought the atmosphere of a five star restaurant to a decorated tent. Divided into 6 tables, the 25 delegates seemed to be enjoying their fancy dinner while chatting with the Counsellor of the Embassy of Hungary; Ms. Eva Sipos, The Deputy Chief and The Third Secretary of the Embassy of Laos; Mr. Kamsouay Keodalavong and Mr. Panthong Sourivong, The Deputy of European Union; Mr. Colin Crooks, The Political Counsellor of the Embassy of Germany; Mr. Dr. Andreas Radtke and Ms. Teana Motsyk from The Embassy of Ukraine.

“Diplomatic Dinner is the most unique social event in IMUN because the delegates cannot find it in any other MUN in Indonesia. This event is a chance for the delegates to gain exclusive insight directly from the experts in the field of diplomacy,” said Denia, the Head of Social Events. It is expected that the interactions with the diplomats would broaden the delegates’ horizon about diplomats’ job in real everyday life and the challenges they face during their missions.

IndonesiaMUN was conducted from 5th – 9th  of November  with five committee sessions and social event, including the first ever NGO Parallel Summit in Indonesia.
