University of Miami representing at UPMUNC

UPMUNC Posts Full Awards List. The University of Pennsylvania Model United Nations Conference (UPMUNC) posted its full awards list. Congratulations to all the winning delegates! If you’re curious which colleges won Best Delegation awards, check out our UPMUNC recap post. Thanks to Best Delegate reader Liz for submitting a team photo of the University of Miami at UPMUNC.

Langley High at WMHSMUN

Langley High is Victorious at WMHSMUN. Langley High School was one of 40 different teams that traveled to compete at the William & Mary High School Model United Nations conference (WMHSMUN). The team represented Japan and the Netherlands and placed 2nd out of all schools. Award-winning delegate Andrew Kil said, “The whole experience is eye opening. I recommend that anyone who has a passion for public speaking should be in Model UN.” Langley will face other top schools again later this year at the University of Pennsylvania’s Ivy League Model United Nations Conference (ILMUNC).

Cal State Long Beach Captures Honors at SBIMUN. Delegates Richard Gieser and Dina Alhayek won awards at UC Santa Barbara’s inaugural Santa Barbara Intercollegiate Model United Nations conference (SBIMUN).  Other schools that competed include UC Berkeley, University of Southern California, University of San Diego, and Chapman University. “SBIMUN was an awesome experience–it really helped me prepare for the Bonn International MUN Conference which is coming up,” said Alhayek. Cal State Long Beach is will be traveling to Bonn, Germany, from November 29-December 3rd to compete at that conference.

Meredith College Wins Awards at SRMUN. Meredith College in North Carolina won two awards at the 21st annual Southern Regional Model United Nations conference (SRMUN) held in Atlanta, Georgia. The award winners were Millie Griffith for representing Gabon in the Security Council and Lachelle Pulliam for representing Mauritania in the League of Arab States. The team will be competing in a Model Arab League conference in the spring.

Why You Should Apply to Staff GCIMUN. 5 Things to be Thankful for. The Best Delegate team compiled a list of five top things to be thankful for during the Thanksgiving holiday and recommends all delegates to show their appreciation to their parents, advisors, friends, and more.
