Crisis update at CMUNCE

The Best Delegation award winners for Columbia’s CMUNCE are up! Here are the results from closing ceremonies:

  • Best Large Delegation: St. Ignatius College Prep
  • Best Small Delegation: Princeton High School
  • Outstanding Large Delegation: Al Ghazaly High School
  • Outstanding Small Delegation: The Hopkins School

Congratulations to all the award-winning schools and delegates!

Also, congratulations to Rhonda Shafei and her staff for making CMUNCE such a fun conference to kick off the high school winter season. Check out Best Delegate‘s liveblog posts to get a taste of what delegates experienced at Columbia:

  • Day 1: Black Swan Events, Peter Pan Committee, and Interview with Oakwood
  • Day 2: Interviews with Al Ghazaly and Sacred Heart
  • Day 3a: Peter Pan and Harry Potter Mashup?!
  • Day 3b: Drug Cartels, RNC, and more photos!
  • Day 4a: Secretary-General Interview
  • Day 4b: Best Delegations & Roses

Special thanks are in order to both the delegates and the staff for making the Best Delegate team feel welcomed. Many delegates got roses during the conference, and Best Delegate was not left out. Here USG of Technology Ramzi “Ziggy” Abdoch delivers a rose on behalf of the Peter Pan Committee to Ryan:

Thanks to Peter Pan committee chairs for letting Ryan feature the committee throughout the conference!

One of the most exciting things about Model UN is seeing your friends around the circuit. USG of Public Relations Heriselda Begaj and I both staffed UNA-USA MUN last year and got to see each other again at this conference. Heriselda made my day with this rose here:

Thanks again CMUNCE team for having us!
