Welcome Message from Chair of Southeast Asia

by peaksenchua on October 12, 2014

Greetings fellow MUNers!

My name is Peak Sen Chua and I will be serving as the Chair of Southeast Asia! This is my first experience working with Best Delegate, but like many of you, I have been involved with Model United Nations (MUN) beforehand. This definitely is an exciting new opportunity to expand and improve my MUN endeavors.

Peak Sen ChuaI am a Malaysian citizen and have lived in Malaysia all my life; for the past 14 years of my 17 yearlong life, I have been a student at Mont’ Kiara International School in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. I have aspirations in International Rural and Agricultural Development and in International Relations – these very interests brought me to begin MUN in my first year of middle school nearly seven years ago. Over my seven-year experience, I will attend a total of 37 conferences. Within these conferences, I’ve served in a variety of positions, from Expert of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, President of the General Assembly at THIMUN Singapore, Deputy-Secretary General at THIMUN Hague, and Secretary-General of the THIMUN Affiliated Malaysian Model United Nations Conference.

I’m very proud of my MUN experience because I’ve gotten not only the chance to improve my character and my professional skills, but to meet, help, and nurture dozens of people along the way. Wherever you are in your MUN endeavors, I hope MUN has interested you and inspired you like it did to me. My responsibility to you is to write down several important pieces of advice I can give you as an experienced MUNer and also keep track and report on your favorite middle and high school conferences in Southeast Asia.

I am always open to giving advice and answering questions. Do not hesitate to email me at peaksenchua@nullbestdelegate.com
