Dear Delegates and Advisors,
It is my pleasure to cordially invite you to the twelfth annual Boston Invitational Model United Nations Conference (BosMUN XII), hosted by the Boston University International Affairs Association. BosMUN XII will be held from February 22-24, 2013 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel in beautiful downtown Boston.
BosMUN is a conference that fosters debate and cooperation amongst delegates from throughout the United States and around the world. They are given the opportunity to discuss relevant and important issues with the guidance of extremely gifted and dedicated Boston University students. This upcoming year we plan to continue to maintain our maximum attendance at 1,400 delegates while increasing the number of committees available to further our philosophy on the importance of the individual delegate experience. It is this focus on each and every delegate that makes our conference unique to others on the circuit.
Over the course of the weekend, each student will have the chance to engage in active discussion about international affairs. We offer this through the traditional General Assemblies and Economic and Social Councils that are well known in the world of Model United Nations, as well as through various Specialized Agencies and Crisis Committees. The latter are innovative and dynamic committees that give delegates the opportunity to face the topics presented to them in real time. This year the committees will undoubtedly showcase the skills of each delegate in every aspect of Model United Nations, whether it be speaking, negotiation, or writing. BosMUN is well known for the high caliber experience that it offers and this year promises to be the best yet.
