Best Delegate‘s Kevin Felix Chan had the chance to interview Denise Chau, the Vice President of the Vancouver WorldMUN 2012 Bid Committee. WorldMUN is a college conference jointly hosted by Harvard University and a local host university outside the United States every spring. Denise and Kevin first met as delegates at the University of British Columbia Model United Nations conference years ago and both are still heavily involved in advancing the Model UN activity (and in traveling the world). Kevin caught up with Denise on:
- (0:45) How WorldMUN rotates the host city every year and is different from other conferences
- (2:07) How she got involved in the Vancouver WorldMUN bid
- (3:24) Why WorldMUN should be held in Vancouver
The Harvard WorldMUN team is currently reviewing applications and is expected to announce the host city for WorldMUN 2012 some time in May. Unconfirmed reports state that a city in India is planning to bid as well. WorldMUN will be held from March 12-16, 2012.
