The National Collegiate Security Conference (NCSC) had an inspiring Opening Ceremonies and featured tons of intense debate over dynamic crises over four days. In a tightly-contested conference, the delegation award winners are:
- Best Large: University of Chicago
- Outstanding Large: University of Pennsylvania
- Best Small: Yale University
- Outstanding Small: United States Military Academy at West Point
One of the most colorful parts of college Model UN is seeing the teams do their school chants. Georgetown obviously led the way at NCSC:
Awards analysis: Although traditional powers U. Chicago, U. Penn, Yale, and West Point won the delegation awards, no team dominated and many of the teams including the delegation award winners were close with each other in terms of total number of awards won and in terms of weighted awards won (NCSC uses 5 points for Best, 3 for Outstanding, and 2 for Honorable Mention plus a counterweight based on gross points earned). Rutgers and Florida International kept the competition close, and Harvard, Emory, Columbia, McGill, NYU, and Florida State also had multiple award winners. Other schools with award winners include: Stanford, Pittsburgh, Cornell, William & Mary, Virginia, Mount Holyoke, Delaware, Clemson, Vanderbilt, SUNY Geneseo, and Elon.
