The National Collegiate Security Conference ended today with U. Chicago winning Best Large Delegation, Harvard taking Best Small Delegation, and Outstanding Delegation awards going to U. Penn and West Point.
Out of 17 committees, U. Chicago won 8 Best Delegate awards and Harvard won 3. I caught up with the Best Delegation winners after closing ceremonies:
I also asked several delegations about their thoughts on NCSC — the video below features:
- Mount Holyoke College rocking Five Colleges MUN T-Shirts @ 0:01
- Pennsylvania State University promoting the Pennsylvania United Nations Conference @ 0:41
- Southern Methodist University commends their chairs and crisis staff @ 1:11
- Emory University had a fantastic weekend @ 1:56 (A special shout out to The Circuit’s Ross Slutsky, who attends Emory! See his NCSC coverage here)
- University of Florida had a good time @ 2:17
- Penn State students who grew up in China give their thoughts on the conference @ 2:25
- And after a long weekend, delegates muster the energy to cheer for their schools! @ 3:00
After the conference was over, I had a chance to sit down with Secretary-General Alex Bozzette and ask about his NCSC experience:
Thank you very much to Alex and the NCSC staff and secretariat for having me! And congratulations to all delegates and staff for a successful conference!
