Greetings Model UN Advisors and Delegates,
The CSULB Model UN Program integrates the MUN “hands-on” simulated diplomatic experience into academic courses on International Law, Organizations, and Politics. For over 20 years, the CSULB MUN Program has recruited, trained, and sponsored student delegations to international MUN conferences in the U.S., Canada, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, and Kazakhstan. In 2011, our 2009-10 MUN Club President, Ms. Steffi Bryson, was named a Rhodes Scholar. The CSULB MUN delegations have been the recipients of numerous awards at some of the world’s most competitive MUN conferences. The CSULB Model UN program has actively worked to foster MUN conferences in Central Asia, with MUN mini-conferences sponsored by CSULB and its partner university in Almaty, Kazakhstan, held in 2009, 2010, and 2011 at the UNESCO Central Asian Headquarters in Almaty.
The CSULB Model UN Program is enthusiastically planning a one-day training conference to be held March 2, 2013 on the beautiful CSU Long Beach campus. The LBIMUN is specifically scheduled to provide a low-cost and easily accessible training conference for those schools preparing their delegations for the Nationals, Far West, or other Spring and Summer Model UN conferences.
