Dartmouth Model United Nations (DartMUN)

DartMUN is always impeccably organized and the staff are always very well-trained. They handle the inevitable logistical issues well, and while putting on a phenomenal in-person conference in the past, managed to rally back from the late transition to an online conference this year and make committees and debate incredible.

Deleglobe Model UN (DegloMUN)

Deleglobe Model UN (DegloMUN) gave delegates the chance to work in three different committees and had the chance to access a 6-hour seminar that trained them from basic to advanced and gave them tips to excel at the event. With people from 10 countries, students had the chance to debate with people from all over the world. Furthermore, DelgoMUN was free of charge for all delegates, increasing accessibility and expanding worldwide access to MUN.

DiploMUN

DiploMUN served as a great tools for the democratization of diplomatic debates. With almost 1,000 students who were participating in a conference for the first time, DiploMUN had more than 10 hours of training and served as the first contact with MUN for people from different regions. In addition to the quality of the debates, directors and committees, the conference provided numerous connections and remarkable experiences, standing out for its focus on the inclusion of all.

Dual Language Model United Nations (DLMUNC)

Dual Language Model United Nations Conference is a 100% student run virtual MUNC that makes it their mission to provide an enriching MUN experience for free. They have had seven renditions. DLMUNC’s committees are very unique and staff genuinely values and listens to feedback from their delegates to improve their experience in live time. Their chairs know parliamentary procedure very well and guide those that are new in MUN to better understand the flow and rules of procedure of committee. DLMUNC is famous for their crisis committees where there is a backroom and the crisis updates always put a smile on everyone’s faces. Delegates from over 25 countries have participated in past conferences, providing delegates the opportunity to meet others from all walks of life, especially in such a positive environment.

Florida International Model United Nations (FIMUN)

FIMUN is not only known to be fun, but it has been known to help high school delegates to transform into a better person and delegate than they were before the conference. Students have always come out of this conference stating that it has truly changed their lives and encouraged them to join collegiate Model UN. FIMUN’s main goal has always been to instill passion within each delegate and to find our own fire which is the power of leadership, diplomacy, and any other goal that each delegate wishes to accomplish. FIMUN truly builds a better community and long lasting relationships inside and outside of the Model UN circuit.

Mid Atlantic Simulation of the United Nations (MASUN)

George Mason University’s conference, MASUN, is very impressive. They bring in speakers that inspire with examples of how MUN can be applied in your future careers, and provide mentorship and networking opportunities for students in between committee sessions. Mentors at MASUN truly show how MUN is a valuable resource as they plan for college and life, further allowing students to see the importance of giving back to the next generation of MUN.

North American Invitational Model United Nations (NAIMUN)

NAIMUN was very well-run by the students of Georgetown University, providing an engaging and fun experience for delegates. There were a wide variety of diverse committee options, which were extremely popular with delegates. Additionally, NAIMUN did a very good job of staying organized and not assigning too many committee sessions.

Saint Ignatius Model United Nations Conference (SIMUN)

SIMUN held 40 creative and dynamic committees, carefully crafting rewarding simulations by highly experienced staff. Dynamic crisis staffs, unique updates, and livestream updates allowed for a more fast-paced crisis experience. SIMUN ran four hybrid committees and incorporated a large novice GA for beginner delegates.

Secondary School United Nations Symposium (SSUNS)

SSUNS consistently distinguishes itself as a fantastic experience. They reach out to advisors soon after the Secretariat is formed, hosting webinars where we can meet everyone, learn about the upcoming conference, and ask any questions. They are incredibly responsive to emails, and their enthusiasm and energy is felt all along the way, both during the pre-conference collaboration stages as well as at the conference. SSUNS Secretariats are true powerhouses of young, intelligent and dedicated people. After hosting SSUNS fully online in 2020, the Secretariat transitioned SSUNS to a hybrid format for 2021. They consistently provide thorough, elaborate, and cohesive background guides. Furthermore, Chairs are typically very well-educated and involved in committee sessions, truly valuing the correct skills in MUN. SSUNS is also hosted over four days, allowing the integration of extra programming and college tours.
