It is hard to be a kid today. Every day there are new challenges happening around the world and in our own backyard that impact our kids. During this 1-hour event, we’ll share tips on how to talk to your kids about real-world issues including Covid-19, mental health challenges, gun violence, hate crimes, poverty, and more. Best Delegate’s Executive Director of Partnerships, Laurabeth Goldsmith, will share 10 conversation starters to get your family discussing and debating diplomatically about world issues at the dinner table.
You will also hear from Middle School and High School Model UN Student Leaders on how they like to engage with their family and their peers about world issues and watch them step into the shoes of world leaders during a Mini Model UN simulation, which has helped them to understand and solve today’s challenges.
