West Virginia University at NMUN DC

West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North wins awards at BUSUN. West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North competed at the Brown University Simulation of the United Nations (BUSUN) for the first time and saw 17 of their 23 delegates win awards including two Best Delegate awards. The advisor is Joseph Bossio who Best Delegate member Kevin Felix Chan had a chance to meet while blogging at BUSUN. Congrats to the team on a successful conference!

Emory co-President wins Best Delegate at UPMUNC. Emory University’s Aaron Collett won Best Delegate representing the United Kingdom at UPMUNC. “I think [the win] is more symbolic because it shows a steady progression in the quality of our delegates and how well we’re doing on the circuit,” Collett said.

William & Mary hosted its 24th annual WMHSMUN Conference. The College of William and Mary’s International Relations Club hosted its 24th annual High School Model United Nations Conference last weekend with over 1,000 students in attendance. “We hope to spur thought about global affairs,” said Secretary-General Nakul Kadaba, who led a team of 150 staffers.

West Virginia University successful at NMUN DC. West Virginia University represented the United Kingdom and Portugal at the NMUN DC conference and won a Distinguished Delegation award in the Security Council. “It proves that WVU’s program is a great nationally competitive program,” said delegate Dominic Ludovici.

Conference Preview

American Model United Nations Conference (AMUN)

American Model United Nations is being held from November 20-23, 2011, in Chicago. This is one of the larger conferences in the college circuit and draws many college teams from the Midwest and beyond. This year’s conference features a lineup of twelve traditional UN committees. The Secretary-General is Sarah Naeger.
