The staff of WMHSMUN XXV got a great opportunity today to grab coffee with Marc Norman, at the William and Mary campus’ favorite coffee shop, the Daily Grind. Mr. Norman, the keynote speaker of WMHSMUN XXV, is the Deputy Director for Regional Affairs at the State Department and has had a long and successful career working on U.S. counterterrorism policy. During the casual coffee break, he discussed a variety of information with our staffers, including all of the U.S. agencies with foreign policy sectors, and career advice like tips on how to apply for Foreign Service internships. He said that in his career he’s gotten to meet “all sorts of different people (including 4 Nobel laureates) and do lots of different things.”
